In the months after the World Trade Center attack, Eugene Schlanger, The Wall Street Poet, was writing as an insider for his colleagues in Lower Manhattan and all New Yorkers.
A native New Yorker with degrees in literature and law, his poignant poems require little explanation; the allusions are everyday and belong to everyone. After the disaster, he was ready to fulfill the public responsibility of an artist and convey what transpired in his time.
